About us
Our practice was built on a simple idea: that emergency medicine works best when the team is supported by great tech and even better leadership. Founded in 2017 by Dr. Nick Savage, we have grown into a major Emergency and Critical Care hub with a team of over 35 professionals. We have invested heavily in a facility that lets you do your best work, including a 64-slice CT scanner, piped oxygen, and a dedicated seizure monitoring ward. While the medicine is high-tech, our culture is human; we focus on real collaboration, scheduled breaks, and a leadership team that actually listens when the shift gets tough.
In my three-plus years here, I have thrived as a Vet. The leadership team encourages excellence, and the support team is amazing. I learn new things every day, and because of their commitment to Continuing Education, my skills, proficiency and confidence have grown tremendously – Jasmine Clarke, E&CC DVM, Veterinary Jobs Marketplace Hospital
About this role
Your day-to-day focus is on high-stakes problem solving and immediate clinical impact. You will lead the charge on complex cases, moving from the first point of contact through to life-saving surgical or medical intervention.
- Critical Assessment: Rapidly identifying neurological or toxicological emergencies and mapping out a treatment plan.
- Advanced Life Support: Managing the “sharp end” of medicine, including CPR, airway control, and vital sign monitoring.
- Stabilization: Handling orthopedic trauma through splinting, casting, and external fixation.
- Surgical Intervention: Stepping into the theater for emergency soft-tissue work, foreign body removals, and wound repair.
About you
We are looking for a veterinarian who is ready to move beyond routine practice and tackle a diverse, challenging caseload. You should be someone who enjoys the “detective work” of emergency medicine and feels at home in a fast-paced environment. We need:
- Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on skills in emergency surgery and critical care.
- Innovation Mindset: A desire to use the latest equipment and an openness to new medical protocols.
- Clear Communication: The ability to stay calm and empathetic when talking through options with worried pet owners.
- Grit and Adaptability: A proactive approach to problem-solving when cases don’t go exactly as planned.
Our location
This richly historic area that includes our capital city, My Town, offers a wonderfully unique place to live and provides options for all lifestyles. Encompassed within the district, you will find small cities, college towns, bedroom communities, and resort areas that provide recreation and leisure. The region’s recent rapid economic growth from the tech industry adds to its well-established tourism, farming, and state government sectors. This is an ideal area to live for those who enjoy a flexible lifestyle with a wide range of options for housing, schools, sports, activities and travel, and a low cost of living.
Our offer
We believe in a transparent and flexible approach to pay and benefits to make sure you’re looked after:
- Base Salary: An annual base between £80,000 – 125,000
- Performance Pay: Annual production bonuses typically ranging from £25,000 – 50,000.
- Bonuses: Sign-on and retention bonuses after a qualifying period.
- Health & Lifestyle: Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; 3 weeks of paid vacation to start; and 7 days of paid sick leave.
- Professional Support: A dedicated CE budget for your specialty interests and pathways into leadership or management.
- Extras: Paid parental leave and generous employee pet wellness discounts.
In addition to the above, we are also happy to explore other remuneration alternatives that may better suit your needs which we will be happy to discuss as our relationship develops.
