About us
You’ll be joining Europe’s only independent pain management and sports medicine rehabilitation centre, with clinics in Swansea and Cardiff. Our work has earned a worldwide reputation in veterinary rehabilitation and sports medicine, and our team is regularly invited to lecture at specialist conferences across Europe and as far afield as Australia.
Every patient who comes to us gets a programme built around them. Our veterinary surgeons and veterinary physiotherapists work out together what each dog or cat needs, then focus on easing their pain and getting them back to an active life as quickly as possible. That might be a dog recovering from surgery, an agility or working dog who has lost their edge, or an older pet living with arthritis who’s ready for longer walks again.
Amazing place. Our dog Megan has been going here for a number of years, she suffers terribly with her front legs, The staff here are wonderful, all of them. Katie is the vet who normally deals with Megan,
Katie I believe has magic hands out dog is always walking better after Katie has got her magic hands to work on her. Thank you all each and every one of you, So glad that our vet referred us to you – Nigel R – Google Review
About this role
You’ll be part of a friendly team of veterinary surgeons, veterinary physiotherapists and support staff who share the caseload and plan care together. The goal is the same for every patient: less pain, better function and a return to the life they enjoy.
Our caseload is varied and rewarding, including complex neurological, orthopaedic and chronic pain cases, many of them referred to us after other options have been explored. You’ll see patients progress visit by visit, and work closely with the physiotherapists who carry their programmes forward.
You’ll also build skills few vets get the chance to develop. We’ll train you on all of our diagnostic tools, including a Gait4 pressure mat system, thermography and a dedicated musculoskeletal ultrasound unit, so you can assess movement and pain with real precision.
This is a part time role of up to 30 hours a week over four days, with no nights, weekends or out-of-hours work.
About you
You love seeing a patient move more freely and comfortably, and you’re drawn to the treatments that make that happen. You enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team, and you’re keen to grow in an area of veterinary medicine where your skills can change a pet’s quality of life.
- A real passion for rehabilitation and for treatments that reduce pain and restore function
