About us
We’re a small, independent small animal practice in Marlborough, and we’re welcoming new clients every day. People come to us because they want modern, sensible medicine for their pets, with honest advice on what’s useful and what isn’t.
That honesty shapes how we work. We have no sales incentive strategy and we don’t push health plans. We tailor prevention, investigations and treatment to each patient and their owner, guided by evidence-based medicine principles: the best available evidence, the experience of the vet and the needs and preferences of the family in front of you.
Our approach is integrative, so alongside a full range of modern treatments we offer conventional and alternative options, and we work with qualified professionals who provide acupuncture, chiropractic treatment and massage. Everyone on the team is involved in decisions about the practice, and the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and easy-going.

About this role
You’ll join a happy, experienced team who enjoy talking cases through and take real pride in good quality medicine. Whether you’re a recent graduate looking for support as you grow, or an experienced vet who likes to discuss cases, you’ll find colleagues ready to share what they know.
Consults here give you room to listen, explain options clearly and recommend what will make a difference for each patient. Your clinical judgement is trusted, and your voice counts when the team makes decisions about how the practice runs.
Special interests are supported. Across the team, our vets pursue interests including ultrasound, radiology, cardiology, surgery, ophthalmology and nutrition, and we’d love to hear where your curiosity lies. You’ll work in our purpose built, modern, fully equipped surgery, providing medical and surgical care.
This is a part time, flexible position, and we’re also open to locum relief. The practice is open 9am to 5pm on weekdays and 9am to 12pm on Saturdays.
About you
You’re a good listener with a keen interest in medicine, and you enjoy the conversation that comes with helping a client choose the right path for their pet. You’re pleasant to work with, happy to share ideas, and comfortable with an approach that puts the patient and their owner first.

Our location
Marlborough is a beautiful market town with everything you need from shops to restaurants to a cinema, concerts and walks in the forest or through fields. The town is quite well connected to reach most of the south of England.
Our offer
- Up to £43 per hour depending on experience and flexibility
- Part time, flexible working, with locum relief also considered
